Padded Trench Coat
Description
A trench cut on a classic straight H-line, carried into winter. The traditional detailing is kept but pared back: the collar buttons closed at the throat against the wind, or falls open for a second way to wear it. Adjustable tabs at the cuffs, angled side pockets, a belt that ties or hangs loose at the waist. The finished coat is garment-washed so the seams draw up into a natural crinkle, giving the surface a worn-in dimension. The shell is a matte lyocell-cotton with a soft, dry hand; inside, a light insulating fill carries the warmth. Warm without weight, and unhurried about it.
