Rolled-edge chunky wool sweater
Description
Drawn from the hand-knitted sweaters of the early industrial era — pieces made to be worn rather than to flatter, where comfort came before shape. The structure is visible in the knit and the hand of the maker is left in it, which is where the warmth of a vintage sweater comes from.
The body is cut wide and the sleeve slightly narrower, so the silhouette stays loose without going shapeless. Edges are left to roll naturally rather than finished flat, keeping the made-by-hand quality of the original. A single patch pocket sits off to one side, breaking the quiet of the knit face.
The yarn is woollen-spun from Australian wool, which fills it out into a soft, full nap and gives the surface a layered, low sheen. Its hollow structure holds air, so the sweater stays light for the warmth it carries.
