Drawcord padded midi skirt

Description

A straight cut that falls just above the ankle, with a short slit at the hem so the stride stays open. The waist runs on an elasticated drawcord — adjustable, soft against the body, nothing to fasten — which keeps the skirt easy to wear across a range of shapes and easy to put on at the end of a cold morning.

The nylon carries a liquid metallic sheen that shifts as the light moves across it, which lifts a utility shape into something closer to tailoring. A lightweight high-efficiency insulating fill runs through the body, so it holds warmth through winter without the weight you would expect from it.
