Wool-blend Teddy bomber jacket
Description
A short, squared body with a stand collar — an outdoor shape brought into the city and cleaned up. The hem runs on an adjustable drawcord, so the jacket can be left open and easy or pulled in close when the weather turns.
The face is a wool-blend pile knitted into a large, dry curl, full and three-dimensional, with the matte warmth of an older sports jacket rather than the slickness of a new one. Contrast binding runs along the front placket, pockets and cuffs — a dark line drawn around the edges of a soft thing, which is most of what gives it its structure. Inside, a lightweight high-efficiency insulating fill keeps it warm without weight.
