Chunky wool hooded cardigan

Description
Drawn from the hand-knitted sweaters of the industrial age, when the structure of a knit was left where you could see it. Several stitches run through the one garment — an open mesh across the shoulder, plain stocking stitch through the body, deep ribbing at the cuffs and hem — and the small irregularities of hand knitting are kept rather than corrected. That is where the warmth of vintage knitwear comes from.

Cut short and sharp, with a hood and a full-length zip. The yarn is traceable Australian wool, woollen-spun for loft and a soft napped surface, with a hollow core that holds the warmth without the weight. A particular spinning finish gives the surface its fine, shifting lustre.
